2007-2008

A few Highlights of 2007-2208 activities were:

• Immigration study and consensus
• Small group discussions on immigration in partnership with NPT
• Legislative advocacy: open records, voter-verified paper ballots, long term care, clean water protection, beverage container recycling, reduction of sales tax on food, right to privacy, and early childhood education.
• Health care study and consensus
• Candidates Forum: Metro School Board, televised live
• Voter registration drives

2006 - 2007

A Few Highlights of 2006-2007 activities were:

• Mayoral Candidates Forum, televised live
• Candidates Forums: U.S. Senate and Governor, televised statewide
• Voting Integrity Study: recommendations to Election Commission and commendation by Metro Council
• Candidates Forum: Metro School Board
• Legislative Advocacy: Pre-kindergarten, adequate school funding for at-risk K-12 students, beverage container recycling, voter-verified paper ballots, and child care
• Voter registration at Mayor's First Day Festival and other venues

2005 - 2006

A few highlights of 2005 - 2006 activities were:

• Metro Budget Forum
• Mayor's First Day Festival and Student Mock Elections
• Plan of Nashville Forum
• Candidates Forum: County-wide and Judicial Offices
